“Lorem Ipsum” comes from the Latin phrase dolorem ipsum, meaning “pain itself.” It is dummy text that has been used since the 1500s as a placeholder for content. Rather than writing “your content here” over and over again, lorem ipsum provides a semi-normal distribution of words and letters. It is used by numerous web page editors as the default text for model sites.
